Liverpool will need to act fast if they want to snap up a former Luis Diaz teammate for a potential bargain £35million, while Friday’s Transfer Gossip claims Newcastle are closing in on Manchester United star Dean Henderson.

PORTO STAR REMAINS ON LIVERPOOL RADAR

Liverpool have reportedly kept Porto attacking midfielder Otavio on their shortlist, although it could take £50million to get their man.

The 27-year-old is in high demand, with a number of clubs in England keen on his signature. However, it’s the Anfield outfit who have shown a concrete interest in Otavio.

The Reds recently did business with Porto when they brought in outstanding winger Luis Diaz in January.

And with a relationship already in place with the Portuguese giants, it appears Liverpool are considering raiding Porto again.

Anfield chiefs will have to act quickly if they want to sign Otavio for a reasonable price though.

A Bola claims that the playmaker will cost £35m if he signs before the end of July. However, that price tag will jump to £50m after that.

Otavio a new attacking option for Liverpool

Otavio would certainly give the Reds more of an attacking option from midfield.

The Porto star has only scored five goals this season but he also provided a whopping 13 assists. He also linked well with Diaz during their time together in Portugal.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to try and add more creativity to his midfield this summer. And swooping for Otavio before the end of July could bag him a potential bargain.

HENDERSON CLOSING ON NEWCASTLE MOVE

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is reportedly closing in on a move to Newcastle United.

Sources revealed to the Manchester Evening News that the 25-year-old was in Newcastle for talks on Wednesday.

It’s understood that discussions have taken place over a season-long loan. However, a permanent switch to Tyneside could still be on tha cards.

The MEN revealed earlier this week Newcastle were still interested in Henderson as they look to bolster Eddie Howe’s squad.

The Magpies held talks over a January deadline day move Henderson. However, the move collapsed when incumbent first choice Martin Dubravka rejected a move to United in a proposed swap deal.

Ajax were also looking at the England stopper in January but incoming boss Erik ten Hag has already decided on keeping David de Gea as his No.1

Henderson has only played for United three times this term and has not featured once in the Premier League.

THREE-WAY FIGHT FOR BARCA STAR DEPAY

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay

Arsenal, Everton and Newcastle are all interested in making a move for Barcelona forward Memphis Depay this summer.

The former Manchester United attacker is Barca’s joint top scorer with 13 goals this season. However, his future is in doubt and that has alerted a number of Premier League teams.

The Gunners are thought to be leading the chase, although Depay’s asking price could be a problem.

The Catalan giants are said to want £42million for the 28-year-old, who could soon be surplus to requirements.

Barca are thought to be closing in on a deal for Bayern hitman Robert Lewandowski. That would leave Depay sitting behind the Poland star and Aubameyang for a starting spot at the Nou Camp.

With that in mind, the Catalan giants are testing the market to see what they can get for the player.
