Man City creative force grows ‘tired’ of life under Pep Guardiola and becomes ‘important’ target for one Euro giant
Electric Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has reportedly become ‘tired’ of his life under Pep Guardiola and with the city of Manchester, setting up a potential move to one of Europe’s other super wealthy clubs.
Silva has been on City’s books since July 2017. He has made 302 appearances for the Premier League side, contributing 53 goals and 58 assists in that time. Silva has helped City win four Premier League titles, one FA Cup and four League Cups under Guardiola.
The attacking midfielder is a fan favourite at the Etihad thanks to his insane talent. He is one of the best dribblers in the world and can wriggle through tight gaps that few other players would manage to find. Silva also possesses stunning vision, which helps him to break defensive lines when City’s opponents are playing deep.
Guardiola often raves about Silva’s ability. The pair could complete a stunning treble this season, as City are in pole position to win the league, while they have also reached the FA Cup final and Champions League semis.
However, this could be the final season we see Silva playing in a City shirt. Last week, TEAMtalk revealed that Barcelona are interested in signing the Portugal ace and Silva himself is keen on the transfer.
But Barca may struggle to afford such a deal due to their well-known financial problems with the La Liga hierarchy.

Instead, there is the possibility Silva will swap City for Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the latest information from French newspaper L’Equipe, Silva has grown ‘tired’ of life at City. He has massive respect for Guardiola and what the coach has done for his career, but he is eager to take part in a new challenge.

It is also claimed that Silva is fed up with life in Manchester and would like to live in a different location. He apparently spends a fair bit of time in Paris and would therefore be willing to move to the French capital.
PSG have been heavily linked with the 28-year-old in recent months and L’Equipe reinforce such rumours by naming him as a ‘very important’ target for the Ligue 1 giants.
PSG sporting director Luis Campos is a big fan of Silva and actually helped Monaco sign him in January 2015. Campos is aiming to repeat such a transfer by taking the playmaker to the Parc des Princes ahead of next season.
Kylian Mbappe could also be influencing this PSG transfer hunt. He has a good relationship with Silva as the pair played together at Monaco, winning the 2016-17 French title.
Guardiola would clearly be frustrated about losing Silva due to how influential the 80-cap international is for City. However, Guardiola does have plenty of other creative avenues he can go down, being able to select Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan. Silva departing the Etihad could result in City speeding up contract talks with Gundogan, who is wanted by Barca.
Silva going may also hand an opportunity to exciting youngster Cole Palmer, who has been tipped to follow in Foden’s footsteps by making a big impact on the City first team.
