Erling Haaland: Phenomenal true value revealed as agent promises ‘key’ to Man City exit

The agent of Erling Haaland has already been speaking about his next step after Manchester City, giving a vague response about whether he has a release clause.
Haaland has been sensational since he joined Manchester City in the summer, just as he was before for the likes of RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund. So far with his current club, he has scored 31 goals from 27 matches.
Under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027, Man City know they are in safe hands up front. However, just like Dortmund had to deal with, they will have to be aware of the constant speculation about Haaland’s future in the background.
As one of the best players in the world, it is only natural that the 22-year-old is going to attract links with traditionally powerful clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Hence, there has already been interest in the Spanish media about the chances of Haaland ending up in La Liga.
Now, his representative Rafaela Pimenta – who inherited Mino Raiola’s legacy after the super-agent’s death – has been quizzed about what the future holds for Haaland.
Asked by AS about the prospect of a move to Spain, Pimenta replied: “Today he is happy at City. Tomorrow, we will have to think about it.
“It is not positive for a footballer to play one season thinking about the next.
“This is like you start thinking about your next woman the day you get married! Today, Haaland is married. But I need to provide the key to his exit should he wish to do so.”
Pressed about Real Madrid specifically, though, she replied: “I cannot talk about this, I am a lawyer.”
Representative refuses to address Erling Haaland exit clause
In addition, Pimenta was vague on the topic of whether Haaland has a release clause that would leave City powerless if another club was to meet that valuation.
Pimenta said “it is difficult to answer this” due to the risk of “misunderstandings”.
But the lawyer has suggested what Haaland’s actual value really could be to a new club.
She explained: “For me, Haaland is worth €1billion (£892m). Maybe nobody is going to pay that. But it is the potential that he has when he arrives at a club.
“With him come fans, goals, results, professionalism, digital content, notoriety, sponsors. If you put all this together, his value is an aggregate of many things. But the price of a footballer is actually set by a club.
“I know that nobody is going to pay €700m (£624m) for a player. But I am very clear that the value that Erling adds when he arrives at a club is immense, at least €1,000m.”
For now, City will just have to keep enjoying Haaland as their own. His impact has already been unavoidable, but the reigning Premier League champions will be hoping to settle on the right formula with him in the team as they try to catch back up with Arsenal in this season’s table.
