Ben Foster calls on former Man Utd teammate to join him at Wrexham in blockbuster switch

Ben Foster was clearly on a recruitment mission at Soccer Aid as he asked former Manchester United teammate Nani to join him at Wrexham next season.
Foster came out of retirement back in March to sign for the National League side on a temporary deal and helped the club win promotion back to the Football League under the ownership of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The veteran 40-year-old was expected to end his playing career once again. However, it’s since been confirmed that he will remain with the Welsh club for another year.
Foster lined up for the Rest the World during Soccer Aid on Sunday evening as they celebrated a fifth successive win over England at Old Trafford in the charity match, and he admitted at making an impact to lure Nani to Wales.
When filming his celebrations, Foster was stood alongside Nani and said: “Nani hasn’t got a club, everybody. I think he should come to Wrexham – do you want to come to Wrexham?”
Nani smiled at his former United colleague and replied: “You never know.”
Foster then laughed at Nani’s response and said: “Liar.”
Nani has just spent the season at Melbourne Victory in Australia. However, his campaign ended up getting cut short after he suffered a cruciate ligament injury in January.
The 36-year-old, who won eight major trophies during his time at Manchester United, is currently available on a free transfer.
