Three more Man Utd players tipped to leave Old Trafford as English clubs watch on

Brandon Williams and Fred

Brandon Williams is among a list of three Manchester United players who could leave the club in the near future, according to a report.

Erik ten Hag has made big changes to the Manchester United squad this summer. Stars such as Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard left on free transfers in early July.

To counteract this, the Red Devils have brought in several big names. They have spent a lot of money on the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Antony.

Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia have also joined the club, while Martin Dubrabka will soon be announced.

Manchester United’s transfer business might not be over, either. According to Jason Burt of The Telegraph, Ten Hag wants one more player to join before the window closes on Thursday night.

His priority position is a right-back, with Sergino Dest and Thomas Meunier under consideration to bolster the defensive ranks.

Either one of them arriving could see Aaron Wan-Bissaka be let go. The Englishman is a target for Crystal Palace and West Ham.

Wan-Bissaka isn’t the only Manchester United defender who could find a new club in the next two days. As per ESPN, Williams is also eligible for a transfer.

Brandon Williams may follow Wan-Bissaka out of United

The 21-year-old, who can play as a left-back or right-back, spent most of last season on loan at Norwich City. He made 26 Premier League appearances for the Canaries, though he couldn’t help them to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Reports claim Brighton would like to sign Williams. The Seagulls lost Marc Cucurella to Chelsea earlier this summer and have brought in Pervis Estupinan as his replacement. Williams could compete with Estupinan for a starting spot in Graham Potter’s team.

The second United player who could be on the move is Phil Jones. He recently got back fit after missing the entirety of the 2020-21 campaign through injury, but is now back in the treatment room.

Jones is in the final 12 months of his contract and United are happy for him to go. Leeds, Southampton and Fulham are potential suitors for the 30-year-old.

Wayne Rooney could give him the opportunity to play in MLS with DC United, too.

Jones put in some decent performances upon his return to the United first team last season. However, he remains surplus to requirements and Ten Hag has enough options without him.

Axel Tuanzebe also available for transfer

The third and final player on ESPN’s exit list for United is Axel Tuanzebe. Like Williams and Jones, he is yet to feature in a United squad this term due to recovering from injury.

Tuanzebe has previously been on Bournemouth’s radar, though it’s unclear if the Cherries would move for him this week.

ESPN state there is a possibility Williams, Jones and Tuanzebe will all leave United before the summer deadline. However, due to the trio having injuries, it is more likely they will depart once the January window opens.

Jones and Tuanzebe will probably secure permanent moves due to them having no future at the Theatre of Dreams. Brandon Williams, though, is an academy graduate who has good potential. As such, he will likely leave on loan with no option to buy.

Meanwhile, Leicester could raid United for a promising midfielder after moving into pole position for him.
