Carlos Tevez lauds ‘crack’ Man Utd star who’s blown Ten Hag plans apart; names Red Devils as one of world football’s big three

Man Utd stars Alejandro Garnacho and Lisandro Martinez

Carlos Tevez hailed a Man Utd star who’s overcoming a key difficulty to force Erik ten Hag’s hand, while the Argentine listed who other than the Red Devils he considers among the world’s three biggest clubs.

It’s been a wholly encouraging first season for Ten Hag at Old Trafford, with the first piece of major silverware since 2017 safely banked.

The FA Cup may yet be added to the League Cup and if Champions League qualification is also secured, Man Utd fans could not have hoped for much more.

Among the many positives in Manchester this season has been the rapid rise of thrilling winger, Alejandro Garnacho.

The Argentine, 20, has racked up 29 appearances across all competitions and was labelled by the Manchester Evening News as United’s ‘breakout’ star.

In response to his stellar campaign, Garnacho was recently rewarded with a contract on greatly improved terms.

Garnacho has racked up an impressive nine goal contributions from just 1064 minutes of action this year.

That equates to a healthy goal contribution every 111 minutes and but for an untimely ankle injury, the Argentine would’ve featured even more heavily over recent weeks.

Garnacho recently caught the eye of former United striker Robin van Persie who claimed what he’s doing at his age is “special”.

The forward has now come in for more acclaim from another former Red Devils frontman, this time from Carlos Tevez.

Garnacho hailed for busting culture clash difficulty

Speaking to Argentine outlet TyC sports, Tevez hailed his fellow countryman and also insisted what he’s done this season is even more impressive than you might think.

Tevez claimed it’s never easy for Argentine players, especially ones so young, to adapt to a completely different English culture.

However, Garnacho is clearly flipping that claim on its head and has a huge admirer in Tevez.

The 76-cap Argentine also claimed Garnacho is currently at one of the “top three clubs in the world”. In Tevez’s eyes, the other two who complete that list are Real Madrid and Man City.

“Garnacho is good. To play for Manchester United you have to be good ,” said Tevez.

“He is playing for [one of] the top three clubs in the world, which are Real Madrid, Manchester City and United are there.”

“It is not easy for Argentines to insert yourself into that culture,” added Tevez. “To play there (in England) you have to be crack.”
