Erik ten Hag told where to go as Richard Keys aims barb at Man Utd boss for familiar gripe
Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has told Erik ten Hag to go back home if he does not like the way the Premier League is run.
Ten Hag took aim at the fixture scheduling after losing Marcus Rashford to injury during Saturday’s victory over Everton. The England interantional limped off the pitch on 81 minutes with what looked like a nasty groin injury. The Red Devils sealed a 2-0 triumph over the Toffees with Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial bagging the goals.
But the win came at a cost as Rashford is now likely to be sidelined. The 25-year-old has enjoyed a superb campaign for Manchester United, with 28 goals in all competitions.
He is vital to the side’s cause but may well miss a number of fixtures. Games are coming thick and fast for the north-west giants.
They lost to Newcastle last Sunday before beating Brentford 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
And there was little time to rest before the Merseysiders were in town this weekend.
The Europa League returns next week, with United set to play Sevilla in their quarter-final first leg on Thursday. And the fixture build-up is clearly getting to Ten Hag.
He took aim at the Premier League following victory over Sean Dyche’s side, saying ‘we have the most crazy schedule from all the Premier League teams’.
However, it seems as though one man was unimpressed with his comments.
Keys vents spleen at Ten Hag
Ten Hag has helped revitalise United’s fortunes since arriving last summer.
They sit fourth in the top-flight table and are three points better off than fifth-placed Tottenham with a game in hand.

Things are looking good for a return to the Champions League next term.
It is the Dutchman’s first foray into English football after he enjoyed success with Utrecht and Ajax in the Netherlands.
He is now learning the difficulties of managing in England’s top division. Injuries are part and parcel of Premier League life as the unique nature of the league takes its toll.
Keys has aimed digs at Ten Hag all season. And he made it quite clear what he felt of the United chief’s words on his beIN SPORTS show.
“Erik, as regards the scheduling and injuries, it’s the English Premier League,” said the former Sky Sport anchor.
“If you don’t like it, there is always of course Eredivisie, where you can go and ply your trade.”
Rashford has played in 52 games for club and country during 2022-2023.
Asked about the striker’s injury after the match, Ten Hag refused to be drawn, saying he is ‘not a doctor’.
But he was adamant the Premier League should not have given United the late fixture last Sunday and the early Saturday game.
