Manchester United are ready to give Sergej Milinkovic-Savic his first stint in the Premier League and are preparing an offer worth £59million, Antonio Rudiger is demanding a huge sum to join Barcelona from Chelsea, and Manchester City are confident of winning the race for Erling Haaland – all in Monday’s Euro Paper Talk.
MAN UTD PLOT SERGEJ MILINKOVIC-SAVIC MOVE
Man Utd aim to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer and are willing to pay big money, according to reports.
The Serbian enforcer has been in great form this season, registering nine goals and 10 assists in 41 matches so far.
Manchester United officials are hoping to bolster their midfield ready for the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag – and Milinkovic-Savic is a top target.
According to Sport Witness, who cite reports in Italy, United have ‘serious’ interest in the 27-year-old and are ready to ‘knock on Lazio’s door’ for him.
They will put a bid worth £59m on the table once the summer transfer window gets underway and are confident this will be sufficient to complete a deal.
Milinkovic-Savic is yet to experience the Premier League and is likely to be attracted by the proposal from United. However, he will also receive offers from four more European giants in the summer.
Separate reports in Italy reveal Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern and Juventus all admire the 30-cap international.
Milinkovic-Savic’s agent, Mateja Kezman, has been in contact with Juventus chiefs to discuss a transfer. The only sticking point for Max Allegri’s side is the £59m price tag, which is out of their reach.
This isn’t a problem for the likes of United, Real or PSG, putting them in a strong position to agree terms with Lazio.
The report states Milinkovic-Savic is likely to be ‘at the centre of discussions’ later this year as so many teams are vying to sign him.
