Euro Paper Talk: Cristiano Ronaldo dumbfounded after snub from European big hitter

Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United forward celebrates a goal during hat-trick against Tottenham in Premier League

Cristiano Ronaldo wants out of Manchester United but a move to Germany looks like it’s completely off the cards, while Friday’s Euro Paper Talk claims that Arsenal and Newcastle are in a battle to sign a Ligue 1 midfielder.

BAYERN TO SNUB RONALDO MOVE

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly warned Manchester United he will leave this summer if they don’t step up their transfer business, although it looks like a move to Bayern Munch is off the cards.

The Portugal legend is said to be concerned by the lack of activity in the market since Erik ten Hag’s arrival. To that end Record states that he is ‘ready to quit’ the club.

United are still to make a signing this summer, despite being linked with a number of big names.

Jurrien Timber, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Darwin Nunez, Frenkie de Jong and Lisandro Martinez have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford but nothing is close to happening.

That has led to Ronaldo questioning his future, with a move to Munich potentially on the agenda.

However, Bild’s Christian Falk insists Bayern have zero interest in a move for the 37-year-old. That is despite Lewandowski almost certainly being Catalonia bound.

Ronaldo could be left in limbo

The fact that the German giants are not even entertaining signing him is sure to surprise Ronaldo, who has excelled in England, Spain, Italy and on the international stage with Portugal.

Indeed, Ronaldo has notched up 698 goals in 935 club career appearances.

However, it appears that Bayern will look for a younger option if and when Lewandowski moves on.

That leaves Ronaldo in limbo, especially if United do not convince him it’s worth staying for another season.
