Man Utd identify Victor Osimhen alternative as Ten Hag ‘loves’ 16-goal striker, but Liverpool and Arsenal join race

Erik ten Hag ‘loves’ Mohammed Kudus and the Ajax forward is on Manchester United’s list of potential striker additions, although competition for his services may come from Liverpool and Arsenal, TEAMtalk has been told.
Kudus is enjoying a fantastic campaign, having registered 16 goals and four assists in 33 matches so far. Four of those strikes came in the Champions League group stage, with Kudus showing he can compete with big-name players by scoring against Liverpool, Napoli and Rangers.
Ten Hag’s need for a new centre-forward is clear, with loanee Wout Weghorst not a long-term solution. Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane have been named as potential replacements.
But Kudus recently emerged on Man Utd’s radar. 90Min claim the Red Devils have been ‘extensively scouting’ the Ghana international in recent weeks.
Transfer insider Graeme Bailey has told TEAMtalk that Ten Hag ‘loves’ Kudus and is considering him as Man Utd’s new striker. The only trouble for Man Utd is that several other Premier League teams, including Liverpool and Arsenal, are also in the mix to snare the Eredivisie ace.
“The form from Mohammed Kudus since the turn of the year has been sensational,” Bailey said.

“Erik ten Hag loves him and firmly believes he is an option for them to come in at number nine. He thought that about Cody Gakpo, and although some doubted that, he is now showing at Liverpool he is more than capable of playing that role.
“Kudus is someone who can play across the front line but his form for Ajax has been playing as a central striker and the goals have been flowing. Ten Hag worked with Kudus and knows the potential that the Ghanaian has.
Man Utd target also wanted by Liverpool, Arsenal
“But his form has seen others keep an eyes on his progress, and most of United’s Premier League rivals have been keeping tabs on him including Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool.”
Kudus’ Ajax contract runs until June 2025, while transfermarkt put his value at €20million (£17.7m).
