Man Utd attacker told ‘right moment’ to ditch Ten Hag and join top club he’s not good enough for at present

Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Erik ten Hag, September 2022

A Man Utd attacker linked with a European giant has been warned he wouldn’t be a starter iv moving right now, and instead should wait for one thing to happen before considering ditching Ten Hag.

Manchester United may be lining up a new centre-forward in January, though there is mounting speculation one of the two they presently have could leave.

Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s premature exit, Erik ten Hag can only call upon Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to lead the line. The latter, 25, has re-found his groove this season and will return to Old Trafford full of confidence on the back of a stellar World Cup campaign.

Rashford’s current deal expires next summer, though United do hold an option to extend his stay by 12 months.

United are understood to view the option as a last resort and instead hope to tie Rashford down to a longer-term deal. Talks are expected to commence in short order now England’s journey in Qatar is over.

However, French giant PSG are fast emerging as a genuine contender to snatch Rashford away from Ten Hag.

Their president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, recently reiterated his intentions to make a play for the United ace.

The Qatari specifically spoke of a January approach, and the Mirror claimed a mind-boggling salary of £850,000-a-week could be offered.

From the player’s end, there’s been little to suggest Rashford wants out of Man Utd. On the contrary, a prior Mirror report claimed Rashford’s intention is to remain with his boyhood club for the long haul.

Nonetheless, speaking to soccernews.nl, the respected Gianluca Di Marzio has weighed in on the Rashford to PSG speculation.

Rashford not good enough for PSG right now – Di Marzio

Di Marzio warned Rashford off moving to Paris for as long as Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are there.

Di Marzio believes Rashford would be forced to warm the bench if moving in January. Instead, he urged the 25-year-old to only consider ditching United for PSG once one of those three superstars departs.

“If he wants to be the man at PSG, then no,” said Di Marzio when asked if a move to Paris is the ‘next level’ in Rashfford’s career.

“After all, they also have Neymar, Mbappé and Messi walking around there and if they all stay in Paris then he can never become a regular basic player.

“So it depends on the future of Mbappé, Messi and Neymar. If they stay at PSG then obviously this is not the time for Rashford to move to Paris.

“That right moment will come when Messi leaves, or when Neymar calls it a day, or Mbappé.

“He has to think carefully about whether PSG is the best solution for him, but that mainly depends on the departure of one of those three magicians.”
