Man Utd trio all emerge on same Prem rival’s radar despite their major concern about one

Three members of the Man Utd squad could end up leaving for the same destination if another Premier League side get their way, a report has claimed.
Man Utd were reluctant to trim their squad too much during the January transfer window. Instead, they opted to maintain a fairly deep squad in order to keep pushing in the second half of the season.
By the summer, though, they may have to listen to the wishes of some of their lesser-used players. It might be a better time to negotiate their potential departures.
According to a report from Football Insider, three Man Utd players are all wanted by West Ham. David Moyes is said to be interested in pursuing deals for Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial.
This season, Maguire has started five Premier League matches, Martial six and McTominay seven. Therefore, none of them can be considered regular starters anymore.
With that in mind, they might want to consider their options ahead of the summer transfer window. In turn, West Ham are looking at them as potential new recruits.
It has been a difficult season for West Ham, who are in the bottom half of the table. In contrast, they qualified for Europe in each of the past two seasons.
With a little bit of work in the transfer market, they may be able to strive towards higher places in the table again next term. Maguire, McTominay and Martial would all be high-pedigree players to bring in.
West Ham have one concern about Man Utd captain Maguire
The report claims Maguire is the subject of the biggest concern for West Ham, though. The Man Utd captain’s current wages might be too high for the Hammers to accommodate.
But if they can bring him in, it would give Maguire the chance to revive his career. Likewise, McTominay and Martial might be more prominent at the London Stadium than at Old Trafford.
McTominay is the only player whose value is addressed in the report. In his case, Man Utd are holding out for a transfer fee of around £25million.
As an academy graduate, all of that will be profit for Man Utd. They may struggle, though, not to make a loss on previous big signings, Maguire and Martial.
But while those players are still in their twenties, they may retain some value. Hence, it will be interesting to see how Man Utd will respond to any potential West Ham approaches for them.
According to the report, Maguire in particular has a wider range of suitors. Yet there remains a chance that the three of them could still be playing for the same club as each other next season – just not Man Utd.
Respectively, Maguire, Martial and McTominay have made 165, 283 and 198 appearances across their Man Utd careers.
But their busier days at Old Trafford all appear to be behind them. Still Premier League quality, though, they might get an alternative chance to prove themselves elsewhere next season.
