Premier League duo have made approaches in crowded Paul Pogba race as Man Utd exit nears

Two Premier League clubs have reportedly made approaches in the crowded race to sign Paul Pogba as his Manchester United exit nears.

Although he hasn’t set the world alight in the six years since his Red Devils return, Pogba’s potential availability on a free transfer this summer naturally has Europe’s major players on alert.

A switch back to Juventus has been heavily suggested, while PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the race too.

However, Pogba leaving Old Trafford doesn’t necessarily mean the end of his time in the Premier League.

And according to Sky Sports, there’s interest in the 29-year-old’s signature from an English duo.

The two separate parties have each been in touch with his camp, but no official offers have been made yet.

No decision has been made by the France international on where his future lies either.

He is planning on waiting until the end of the season to make his mind up, by which time United should have appointed a permanent manager.

Of course, remaining where is he isn’t out of the question. But no new deal is on the table.

Paul Pogba is looking increasingly likely to leave Manchester United this summer.

Pogba also looks more likely than ever to be moving on at the end of the season when his contract expires.

That’s because he dropped some explosive comments in an interview which emerged earlier today.

The midfielder argued this season was a “dead year” and declared his desire to win trophies – something which he has done just three times with United.

Pogba ‘not satisfied’ at United

“You have to be honest, these last five seasons have not satisfied me,” Pogba told Le Figaro. “Really not at all.

“This year is dead, we won’t win anything. Whether it’s with Manchester United or another club, I want to win trophies.

“It’s simple with France, I play and I play in my position. I know my role and I feel the confidence of the coach and the players.

“It’s normal to feel a difference at Manchester United because it’s hard to be consistent when you often have a change to your position, or the team system, or your [midfield] partners.

“I get along very well with [France manager Didier Deschamps], he gave me a role that I know.

“But at Manchester United, do I really have a role? I ask the question, but I don’t have an answer.”
