PSG megastar chooses Man Utd, with Chelsea, Newcastle and €400m offer dismissed in favour of joining Ten Hag revolution

One of PSG’s fabled front three wants to join Man Utd above all others if leaving Paris this summer, and how a blockbuster deal can be struck has been revealed in a bombshell report.
There’s set to be a major shake-up in Paris this summer, with the futures of Lionel Messi and Neymar both coming to a head.
The pair form two thirds of an all-star front three with Kylian Mbappe. However, try as they might, PSG have been unable to crack the Champions League code.
PSG and sporting director Luis Campos are pushing to take the club in a different direction by shedding superstars and signing the best young talent around. To fully achieve that aim, Messi and Neymar must depart.
Messi has been heavily linked with either returning to Barcelona or becoming the world’s highest paid sportsman by joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.
Al-Hilal hope to partner Messi with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema who is ‘seriously considering’ a monumental offer that has ramifications for a Liverpool forward.
Neymar, meanwhile, also has interest from Saudi Arabia and according to FootMercato, has rejected a scarcely believable €400m offer to sign up.
Instead, it’s claimed Neymar would much prefer to stay in Europe and both Chelsea and Newcastle have shown interest.
However, according to FootMercato, if Neymar does leave PSG this summer, he only has eyes for Man Utd.
The Brazil icon is said to be ‘seduced’ at the prospect of joining the Red Devils and can only see his future at Old Trafford if turfed out of Paris.
Reports in Spain recently claimed negotiations over bringing Neymar to Man Utd have already begun. French outlet L’Equipe reported fellow Brazilian Casemiro is doing his bit behind the scenes to make the deal a reality.
Neymar’s current deal in Paris doesn’t expire until 2025 and there’s also a player option for an extra 12 months.
As such, he’ll cost a sizeable fee to sign, though given he’s now 31, it’ll be nowhere near the world record €222m he cost back in 2017. Transfermarkt estimate his current valuation to be €70m (approx. £60.5m).
Man Utd are in the hunt for an elite-level forward this summer, though they’re targeting a centre-forward and not a winger.
However, signing Neymar could work in theory, with the Brazilian taking up his customary left wing role and thus pushing Marcus Rashford up front.
But before Man Utd fans can get their hopes up, FootMercato detail one important development that must occur before the move can happen.
Neymar to Man Utd hinging on Qatari takeover
It’s noted Neymar’s potential transfer to United is inexorably linked to whether or not the club are bought by Qatari businessman, Sheikh Jassim. He is one of two to bid for the club, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe the other.
That information also tallies with what ESPN’s Mark Ogden reported earlier in May.
Indeed, when Neymar to Man Utd links first surfaced, Ogden reported: “Manchester United aren’t pursuing a deal for Neymar. Not the current regime anyway.”
It makes sense the Glazer family would not wish to spend big on Neymar mere months before potentially selling the club.
As such, whether Neymar can join the Red Devils – and if so, whether it’ll be this summer – depends on how United’s takeover unfolds.
