Man Utd pursuit of world’s most desired signing nears conclusion with ‘huge’ £104m bid launched and player choosing next club

There has been a major update on the summer transfer plans of Manchester United, with a report detailing their massive offer for a top Bundesliga ace and the player deciding where he wants to go next.
Erling Haaland was the most pursued Bundesliga star last summer, as the striker had bagged a sensational 86 goals in 89 games during the previous two seasons with Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid, Man Utd, Bayern Munich and Chelsea were all linked with him.
In the end, though, it was Manchester City who won the race for Haaland. They paid Haaland’s £51million release clause and tied the goal machine down to a five-year contract.
The Bundesliga continues to be a breeding ground for some of the best young players in the world, with Josko Gvardiol and Jude Bellingham excelling at RB Leipzig and Dortmund respectively.
Chelsea came close to landing Gvardiol last summer and remain big fans of him, while Bellingham has been heavily linked with Real and City since Liverpool pulled out of the chase.
Bellingham is arguably the most coveted player out of the two, though it is very close. On May 3, it emerged Real had reached an agreement with Bellingham over personal terms, with the Spanish giants then turning their attention to agreeing a deal with Dortmund.

However, David Ornstein of The Athletic then explained how the midfielder is not actually as close to joining Real as the Spanish press are making out.
Italian source Tuttomercatoweb have now provided an eye-opening update on Bellingham’s future. They claim Man Utd are attempting to ruin Real and City’s hopes of capturing the star.
Man Utd submit club-record bid for midfielder – report
Dortmund have put Bellingham’s price tag at a whopping €150m (£132m). Man Utd have supposedly come forward with a ‘huge’ offer for him, though it does not match Dortmund’s asking price.
The Red Devils have told Dortmund they will pay €120m (£104m) for the England international. A transfer for this amount would see Bellingham become Man Utd’s all-time record signing, ahead of Paul Pogba (who cost £89m).
Although, it looks like Man Utd’s proposal will come to nothing. That is because Tuttomercatoweb write that Bellingham has ‘said yes’ to Real and is simply waiting for Carlo Ancelotti’s team to strike an agreement with Dortmund.
Bellingham would have been an incredible signing for Erik ten Hag and Man Utd. He could have formed a world-class midfield partnership with Casemiro at Old Trafford.
While Man Utd have massive pull power, they have not quite been able to convince Bellingham to join them. Real have won five out of the last nine Champions Leagues, while City have triumphed in four out of the past five Premier League seasons. These major trophies will go a long way in showing Bellingham which move is the right one for him.
