Man Utd considering audacious transfer for frustrated Chelsea star who wants out; Blues ready to accept

Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Chelsea, May 2022.

Manchester United are reportedly plotting a loan move for frustrated Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, with the star apparently keen.

Pulisic has been the subject of interest from a few sides of late. Newcastle United have recently thrown their hat in the ring to take him on board, along with Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

Indeed, a move away from Chelsea might suit the American. The signing of Raheem Sterling this summer could knock him down the pecking order.

What’s more, Pulisic’s game time at Stamford Bridge has been limited for much of his time there.

His highest number of appearances in the Premier League in one season is 27 in the 2020/21 season, though only 18 of those were starts.

Last season, Pulisic made just 22 league appearances and just 13 starts. He has made it no secret that he would like to play more often.

He may get that opportunity soon, though it could be after a move away from Chelsea. The Athletic reports that Manchester United are keen to snap him up on loan.

Indeed, the report states that Chelsea are willing to listen to loan offers for the forward.

Furthermore, Pulisic would reportedly welcome a move to United rather than any of the other sides that are interested in him.

As such, it seems to be a move that has legs to it and would allow Pulisic a chance to prove himself.

Pulisic to Man Utd seems perfect move

United have had a shocking start to the current Premier League campaign. They currently sit rock bottom after two games and have scored just one goal.

As such, adding an attacking spark to the side before the end of the window seems a wise decision. Should Pulisic show the form he has done despite limited appearances at Chelsea, he should help United out of their rough patch.

A loan move gives the Pulisic the chance to find some form and crucially, play football away from Chelsea where he may thrive without the big price tag hanging over his head.

Given the report states that he would welcome a move to United, he would likely be taken to quickly by the Old Trafford faithful.
