Ten Hag rocked by destructive Man Utd transfer revelation as top target rejects move and decides between two Euro giants

Napoli stars Victor Osimhen and Kim min-jae

One of Erik ten Hag’s main targets at Manchester United has decided he will not be moving to Old Trafford this summer and will instead choose between two of Europe’s biggest clubs, according to a report.

Ten Hag has done well during his first season with Man Utd, helping them to lift the Carabao Cup in February and also compete for a top-four spot. The Red Devils could add the FA Cup to their trophy cabinet too as they have reached the final of the competition, where they will come up against rivals Manchester City.

But if Ten Hag is to get Man Utd competing with City and Arsenal for next season’s Premier League title, then he needs a truly lethal striker to join his squad.

While Wout Weghorst works hard and is good at linking up play, he is not up to the required standard for Man Utd’s main number nine. Anthony Martial is also known to struggle with injuries, while Marcus Rashford prefers to operate at left wing.

Man Utd have four strikers on their radar as they look to take their attack up a notch. Those players are Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane, Goncalo Ramos and Benjamin Sesko.

All four of those stars have shown they are able to score plenty of goals, though at different levels. Kane has proven himself to be one of the best strikers in the world during his time at Tottenham, and Osimhen is ripping Serie A up with Napoli.

Ramos and Sesko are still towards the start of their careers, although they have shown they have the potential to shine for massive clubs in the future.

Unfortunately for Ten Hag, he appears set to miss out on Napoli talisman Osimhen. As per Italian source Calciomercato, the Nigerian will choose between two big clubs in the summer, though Man Utd will not be in the mix.

Man Utd-linked star could join Bayern or PSG

Instead, Osimhen will decide between German titans Bayern Munich and Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Man Utd have generally been placed at the front of the queue to snare the goalscorer due to his love for the Premier League. Didier Drogba is one of his biggest inspirations and he wants to move to England at some point in his career to replicate the Chelsea legend.

But it does not look like that move will be happening during the next transfer window. The report claims Bayern and PSG have a much better chance at signing Osimhen than Man Utd.

One of the main reasons Osimhen is considering Bayern is that his girlfriend is German and is keen to move back to her home country.

The 24-year-old is also attracted by the prospect of leading the PSG attack next season, with the futures of both Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi uncertain.

Another factor to consider is that Bayern and PSG have won most of their domestic league titles in the last 10 years. This means Osimhen will be pretty much guaranteed trophies at either club, something Man Utd cannot quite provide.

Ten Hag will be very disappointed if Osimhen snubs Man Utd and goes to Bayern or PSG instead. However, he could still get a world-class striker through the door by landing Kane from Spurs.

Meanwhile, Man Utd have joined the race for a high-quality Prem star who will definitely be sold by his current team this summer, as per a report.
