Man Utd transfer news: Tahith Chong among trio of proposed loan exits despite Erik ten Hag concern

Manchester United are reportedly ready to send three young attacking players out on loan this summer, despite new boss Erik ten Hag growing concerned over the lack of a new forward arriving at Old Trafford so far this summer.
The Dutch coach remains keen on bringing in winger Antony from Ajax to bolster his new side. However, the Eredivisie side are currently playing hardball over the fee for the player, leaving a potential transfer up in the air.
And, according to report from Forbes, United are now focused on sending a trio of wingers out on loan again.
Tahith Chong, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri are the Red Devils players in questions.
Chong spent the first half of last season on loan at Belgian side Club Brugge before heading to Birmingham in the second half of the campaign.
The 22-year-old impressed at St Andrew’s but is expected to continue his development away from the club.
In terms of Diallo‘s immediate, big things were expected of the attacker when he signed from Atalanta in January 2021.
However, he struggled for game time after eventually arriving later in the year. To be fair, his hopes were severely hit by the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old eventually found himself out on loan at Rangers. Despite impressing in his early outings, Diallo then struggled for game time under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and eventually headed back to Old Trafford.
Diallo tipped for Scotland return
However, former Scotland defender Alan Hutton believes the winger deserves a chance to shine again in his homeland.
He told Football Insider: “I don’t think he reached the heights that a lot of people were expecting.
“I’m not going to lie I thought he’d have more of an impact, so I did feel for him.
“He’s obviously come from a big club, and there’s no doubting his talent and we did see it in flashes.
“So it would be nice to see him come back and flourish and show the player he actually can be.”
The report in the Daily Express has no mention of where Diallo could be playing next season. However, a switch back to Scotland cannot be completely ruled out.
As for Pellistri, the Uruguay international arrived at the club back in the summer of 2020.
The 20-year-old has spent the last 18 months in Spain with Alaves. A return to LaLiga could well be on the cards, although it will not be with Alaves after they were relegated last season.
