Man Utd transfers: Ten Hag in striker dreamland as star capable of rivalling Haaland rejects Euro giants in favour of Old Trafford switch

Rumoured Man Utd targets Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund
Erik ten Hag and Manchester United will be delighted after finding out that a deadly striker has reportedly rejected a move to Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a Premier League switch.
Ten Hag appears set to land a big-name striker in the summer transfer window to take Man Utd to the next level. He will have seen how well Erling Haaland has done for Manchester City and will want his own electric goalscorer to arrive at Old Trafford.
Links between Man Utd and Harry Kane have started to intensify recently. As per The Telegraph, the Red Devils have initiated preliminary talks with Tottenham to see if they can strike a deal for the England captain.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is desperate to keep Kane, but his negotiating position has been weakened by the club dropping out of the top four and their terrible 6-1 thrashing by Newcastle.
The Sun claim Man Utd are already drawing up plans to offer Kane a huge contract, should an agreement be reached with Spurs. He could earn £300,000 a week in Manchester, a third more than what he currently takes home at Spurs.
However, Kane has been in this situation before, when Manchester City tried to land him in 2021 but Levy held firm. And Man Utd must enter initial discussions with other centre-forwards in case Kane stays in north London.

One player who is greatly admired by Ten Hag is Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen, who has bagged 26 goals in 32 matches this season.
On Monday, TEAMtalk exclusively revealed Man Utd to be at the front of the queue to sign Osimhen. Chelsea are interested too, but they will struggle hugely to pay for the attacker without breaking Financial Fair Play regulations.
Man Utd in strong position to complete Napoli raid
Fabrizio Romano describes the race as being ‘open’, but it is very hard to see Chelsea being able to meet Napoli’s £132million asking price after parting with over £600m in the last two transfer windows. If they do, they could face a points deduction.
French source Foot Mercato have handed Man Utd a big boost in their pursuit of Osimhen. They write that while PSG are ‘very interested’ in the Nigerian, he does not reciprocate that feeling.
Instead of going to France next, Osimhen wants a move to England. He views the Premier League as his ‘priority’.
One of the main reasons for this will be to emulate his idol Didier Drogba, who helped Chelsea win major competitions such as the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup during a hugely successful spell at Stamford Bridge.
While Drogba is a Chelsea legend, Osimhen could create his own legacy at Man Utd. They are the best-placed club to complete a deal with Napoli and could break the Prem transfer record as a result. The record is currently held by Enzo Fernandez, who cost Chelsea £107m in January.
Napoli will be distraught about the 24-year-old leaving this summer. He has been incredible for them this campaign alongside winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Osimhen’s final role with Napoli looks set to be helping them win the Serie A title. Luciano Spalletti’s side sit top of the table on 78 points, 17 points ahead of second-placed Lazio.
Following a first Scudetto of the 21st Century with Napoli, Osimhen could embark on a new journey in the Prem by spearheading Ten Hag’s attack next season.
He will be looking to rival Haaland, who has incredibly scored 48 goals in 42 games during his debut season with City.
