Man Utd, Arsenal in straight fight to sign Real Betis forward after damaging Gakpo, Mudryk snubs

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for a highly-rated Real Betis winger having been shunned in their efforts to sign Cody Gakpo and Mykhaylo Mudryk respectively.
The Red Devils were firmly in the hunt to sign Erik ten Hag’s fellow countryman before Liverpool jumped, while the Gunners had virtually agreed a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk for Mudryk before Chelsea ended up gazumping them.
That leaves both clubs still on the lookout for attacking reinforcements, particularly after United seemingly jumped into the title equation after their win over Manchester City on Saturday.
Ten Hag still wants to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford. However, Marcus Rashford’s form has gone to another level since the Portuguese legend’s departure.
As for Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus could be out longer than first expected with his knee injury. And although Eddie Nketiah is shining his absence, Mikel Arteta still wants to add another forward to his frontline.
Henrique represents decent value
Luis Henrique is the player in question and has been in fine form this season, scoring three goals and adding five assists across all competitions.
He’s also a much cheaper alternative to both Gakpo and Mudryk and is only valued at £13.2million on Transfermarkt.
The Brazil Under-21 international has pace and flair but is not always consistent, which could throw up a red flag.
The report adds that both United and Arsenal easily have the funds to tempt Betis into a sale.
However, at this stage, it remains to be seen whether both clubs prefer to chase more experienced options instead.
For example, the north London side are now being tipped to sign Barcelona winger Raphinha. United, meanwhile, would prefer to sign a central attacker rather than another wide man.
United are now up to third in the table after their win over City. Arsenal, meanwhile, can go eight points clear at the top with a win at Tottenham in the north London derby.
