Victor Lindelof has revealed that new Manchester United signing Tyrell Malacia looks ‘really, really good’ in training as the new season draws ever nearer.

The Netherlands international completed a £15million move to Old Trafford at the start of the month, signing a four-year contract, after deciding to quit his boyhood club Feyenoord.

The 22-year-old made 136 appearances for the Eredivisie outfit after graduating from their academy in 2017.

Malacia became the first new arrival of Erik ten Hag’s reign at Old Trafford. And he has clearly made an impression on his new team-mates on their pre-season tours.

“Tyrell has been great,” Lindelof told MUTV. “I’ve talked to him a little bit, and he seems like a great guy. And I think he’s going to fit right in with the squad with all of the guys.

“I’m looking forward to training with him more and working with him, but he is looking really, really good.”

Lindelof relishing Ten Hag methods

Sweden star Lindelof is preparing for his sixth season at United and has seemingly welcomed the change in methods.

“It was great to have some time off over the summer and of course when I came back I felt fresh and ready and yeah it’s been feeling good,” he added.

“Training has been very good. I think we have stepped up a lot and it’s hard, like it should be in pre-season. And he demands a lot and I think it’s been absolutely great, so yeah, a pleasure.

“Everyone is looking forward to the new season and we are doing everything we can to prepare the best we can for that game and for the rest of the season.”

United are next in pre-season action on Tuesday when they face Crystal Palace in Melbourne.

Clashes against Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano will follow before the Premier League campaign gets underway on August 7 at home to Brighton.
