From Harry Kane. That record speaks for itself.
I know a lot here still judge the final product based on international performances, however I really think Harry Kane has finally stepped into world class territory. I can’t remember the last time a striker was banging them in like this on such a consistent basis. Ronaldo? Henry?May 19, 2017 at 12:42 am #1482740I think he is brilliant, but for the term world class to be used that should only be reserved for those who are doing it regularly at all levels. For now he hasn’t quite done that (ie: CL and international). I have little doubt though that he will get to that level, especially when you consider how young he still is
May 19, 2017 at 6:54 am #1482747That’s an amazing stat to be fair and great to see it from and Englishman … Even a spud!
May 19, 2017 at 6:57 am #1482748Sean pal. It’s a world class ratio of goals per game and he’s doing a consistently season on season. To be truly world class he needs to start adding trophies, at Spurs or elsewhere. He needs to single handedly carry his team and do it in big matches too. He needs to start scoring regular champion’s league goals and bossing matches on the international stage too
May 19, 2017 at 7:51 am #1482765To be fair to him, he’s no flat track bully. He scores in the big league games, which can’t be said about Lukaku
May 19, 2017 at 9:07 am #1482792I’ve got bet on Sanchez being top scorer @ 20-1. It was looking good until last night. Friggin’ Spuds!
May 19, 2017 at 10:09 am #1482845lets be fair here Kane is special-you dont really get that many special English players-he even talks like his from a royal backgound
May 19, 2017 at 10:11 am #1482846Kane and Alli were poor at Euro 2016 and the Champions League this season. They are the big stages, but they are both young. These competitions are new to them. If they perform badly at the world cup next year, and the CL next season then questions may be asked.
May 19, 2017 at 4:08 pm #1483124People can say whatever they want from H. Kane. but he is definitely a world class striker. while he is not on par with Suarez and Lowendowski and Hagiun. but he isn’t far from them. and people should remember that he is only 23 years old. and is yet to reach his full potential. and when he reaches his full peak. i don’t think many strikers will stand his way.
May 20, 2017 at 9:20 am #1483272The great thing about Kane is he’s gone down the lower leagues lon loan to improve. He’s improving every season and is a smashing player but he’s no were near world class yet. He’s done nothing for England or in Europe.as dandy says he’s needs to be adding trophies and been Spurs top top man. He’s not even England’s 1st choice striker at the minute. Class player. Unreal stat but let’s see if he really step up in Europe and for England. Seems a top bloke aswell. Really humble and down to earth. Kind of player you want see to well.
May 20, 2017 at 9:22 am #1483274Phenomenal record.
He always seems to make the goalie make a save, you don’t often see him shoot off target.
May 20, 2017 at 9:48 am #1483285Harry Kane is the best striker in the league imho.
I was amazed to meet a Tottenham fan this week who said he’s overrated, and that you need to watch him live to see how ordinary he is!
Maybe the lad was drunk. I’d pay double whatever we are supposed to be paying for Lukaku for HK (please Roman, don’t buy Romelu!!)
May 20, 2017 at 9:59 am #1483288Kane is a natural goal scorer and his record speaks for itself but he’s still a bit away from being world class yet imo.
It will never happen but I’d have him at Chelsea although given the choice between him and Alli I would take Alli first. 🙂
May 20, 2017 at 10:27 am #1483301Harry Kane is a world class target man, he got everything for that role and is more prolific than most target men. I haven’t seen a player like him since Shearer, I can’t wait to see him progress in the future and honestly he is the perfect answer to the identity crisis the national team has. You got a big guy now up top that delivers, play to his strengths and he might just succeed where others have failed.
May 20, 2017 at 7:52 pm #1483482I’ve said “let’s see how he does next season” for a couple of years now and he’s always done more than alright to prove me wrong. Needs a top season in the Champions League though…one that knocks the real big guns sideways to be considered elite at the top level. Shearer didn’t have that in his game which is why he’s never rated outside England but I think Harry Kane might have a bit more class about him.
Anyway, he’s made my predictions look silly for a while and fair play to him, to Spurs and good luck to both of them.
May 20, 2017 at 10:13 pm #1483493…yeah but Shearer did it on the international scene. The fact he didn’t do it in Europe is more to do with the clubs he chose to play for.
May 21, 2017 at 4:49 pm #1483813Make that 73 goals in 91 games… 🙂
May 21, 2017 at 4:55 pm #1483822Kane is very good, how much is he worth now… Will the big boys of Europe be in for him.
May 21, 2017 at 4:59 pm #1483831Not this year….
May 21, 2017 at 5:13 pm #1483867They can’t afford him. With Levy as chairman a club would probably have to fork out in excess of 150m. But renew his contract and stick in a ridiculous buy out clause of 250m. Increase his wages as well, he deserves it.
