Jayden Stockley: Aberdeen to sign striker from Bournemouth

Aberdeen are set to fight off competition from Exeter City to sign Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley, sources have told TEAMtalk.

Stockley scored 10 goals in 22 appearances in the second half of the season for Exeter after joining on loan in January, with Grecians boss Paul Tisdale confirming earlier this week the League Two club had made a second offer to the 22-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer.

Stockley has caught the eye of Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes, however, and is now expected to sign a two-year contract with the Scottish Premiership side.

Bournemouth will be due compensation for a player that made his debut for the club as a 15-year-old in 2009 but has not played for the first team since 2012 when they were in League One.
