AC Milan ready to swoop on Tottenham trio in January

AC Milan are ready to swoop on three Tottenham players who have been told they can leave the club in January, a report claims.

The Serie A giants confirmed the appointment of  head coach Stefano Pioli on Wednesday after they ended Marco Giampaolo’s disastrous three-month tenure.

Former Fiorentina boss Pioli will want to put his own stamp on the Rossoneri in January and reports have suggested he will be active in the January window.

Calciomercato.it, as cited Spanish outlet AS, report that five players at Spurs have been made available in January.

Christian Eriksen, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies, Eric Dier and Serge Aurier are the players in question with Milan understood to be very keen on Dier and Aurier.

The report states that a swap deal involving Dier and Franck Kessie could be on the cards.

Calciomercato.com recently claimed that the Rossoneri were considering selling the Ivorian in January with Wolves and Monaco linked with a €28m move in August.

Meanwhile, Kessie’s Ivory Coast team-mate Aurier, who wanted out at Spurs in the summer, is also a target for Milan, as per the source.

Milan want competition for Davide Calabria at right-back given Andrea Conti’s poor form and fitness issues and they see unsettled Aurier as an option.

The report also suggests that Eriksen is an option for Milan, but adds that it is Inter who are more likely to make a serious assault for him.
