Traore flirts again over prospective Real Madrid, Barcelona moves

Wolves winger Adama Traore has once again refused to close the door on a return to LaLiga if one of the big guns came calling.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper La Vanguardiathe jet-heeled Wolves frontman has admitted once again that a move back to his former side Barcelona, or fierce rivals Real Madrid, would be difficult to resist if the opportunity presented itself.

The marauding winger has been a revelation for Wolves this term, his blistering pace and overwhelming strength proving to be an issue for his opponents.

The Spaniard has also managed an impressive four goals this season in the Premier League, whilst laying on seven, leading to claims he could be a target for Liverpool following this admission from Jurgen Klopp.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a vital part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad this season, starting in 21 of their 26 top-flight matches.

And his impressive performances has grabbed the attention of several European clubs, including Barca and Madrid.

“It wouldn’t be a problem for me [if Madrid called], I don’t close my door to anything,” Traore told La Vanguardia.

“Right now I am very happy where I am, the team and the people are fantastic.

“Being in Europe is a new stage for us and the physiotherapists work incredibly hard on ensuring our recovery.

“Offers from Madrid or Barca will come when they come, but my mentality is to continue growing as a player.”

Wolves will play host to La Liga side Espanyol in the first leg of their Round of 32 Europa League clash on Thursday and Traore is relishing the opportunity of European success.

“We have a great opponent ahead of us; the challenge is exciting. The favourite tag is put on by others. Our mentality is to fight for 90 minutes,” he added.

This isn’t the first time Traore has talked up his interest in a return to LaLiga, with the winger opening up on the possibility as recently as last month.
