Agent confirms €50m Chelsea star open to AC Milan, Napoli switch

The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that his client is open to joining Serie A giants AC Milan or Napoli in the future.

The midfielder played a massive part as the Blues beat Real Madrid 2-0 (3-1 on agg) in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals at Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel’s men will face Premier League rivals Manchester City in the final in Istanbul later this month.

The Italy international has scored seven goals in 37 appearances this season. He is also set to play a major role for his country at Euro 2020 this summer.

But speaking about his client’s future, Joao Santos told Radio Kiss Kiss: “He would also like a return to Italy, but I think it will be in a couple of years and not now.

The representative was also asked which Serie A club could lure Jorginho back to Italy. Milan and former club Napoli have both been linked with the player.

Santos added: “He loves the city of Naples and spent wonderful years there. But he has to think about his career right now. He still has a contract at Chelsea.

“As for Milan, if he were to leave Chelsea, with €50m and a contract similar to the one he currently has at Stamford Bridge, then he could think about it.”

Experienced keeper an option for Chelsea

Wojciech Szczesny could be an option for Chelsea or Everton as they look to strengthen in goal, according to reports in Italy.

Szczesny may have been inconsistent the last time he was in the Premier League with Arsenal. But since he headed to Serie A, first on loan with Roma before becoming a permanent Juventus player, he has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

But Juventus appear to be preparing for a future without him and that could mean his future may be back in England.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are ready to sell Szczesny so they can sign Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian is out of contract with AC Milan, so would be a shrewd signing for Juve.

Szczesny would not be content as a backup, though, so may be placed on the market. In that event, a return to the Premier League could be on the cards.

It is claimed that Chelsea and Everton have both carried out enquiries to see if Szczesny would be open to joining them. Intermediaries have been exploring how much he would be willing to return to England.
