Agent confirms Sarri tried to bring top Napoli star to Chelsea

Elseid Hysaj’s agent has confirmed ‘it is true’ that Maurizio Sarri wanted to bring the Napoli full-back to Chelsea with him.
Sarri was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti, despite leading the club to a second-placed finish behind Juventus in Serie A last season, but has since taken over the reins from Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis had complained that Sarri actually ‘wanted to take my whole team to England and dismantle it’ and the Albanian full-back was on his radar, having already snapped up midfielder Jorginho.
Hysaj’s agent Mario Giuffredi confirmed on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “Let’s just say that he could have followed Sarri.
“De Laurentiis admitted that the Coach wanted to take three or four players to Chelsea and it’s true.
“A renewal? I’ll be in Dimaro [at the pre-season training camp] and we’ll talk about that, we’ll see if the will is there on both sides.”
