The agent of former Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes has confirmed that his client is attracting interest from Serie A.
Both Liverpool and Spurs have been linked with a move for Fernandes, who terminated his contract at Sporting after the club’s players were attacked by fans at training last month.
Up to 50 supporters stormed the training session following Sporting’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League, with several of the club’s staff and players injured.
The player’s agent, Miguel Pinho, has confirmed that Roma are in the running to sign the former Sampdoria star, as well as AC Milan.
“As you know, the player has terminated his contract with Sporting CP, not only him but also several others,” he told LaRoma24.
“Roma are after him, Milan less so. I think we’ll know more in the next 3-4 days. The player is leaving for Italy but we don’t have an appointment with Monchi.”
