Agent of €28m Arsenal, Tottenham target in England for talks

Franck Kessie TEAMtalk

Franck Kessie’s representatives are reportedly in England speaking to interested clubs regarding a move for the AC Milan midfielder.

Kessie’s future at AC Milan is entering a decisive stage with the Premier League transfer window ready to shut at 5pm on Thursday.

Tottenham, Arsenal and Wolves have all been linked with a move for the Ivorian powerhouse with SportMediaset recently reporting that Wolves have bid around €28m for the 22-year-old.

Speculation surrounding Kessie has been rife this summer already with Sempremilan claiming “doubts over his ability to adapt to Marco Giampaolo’s 4-3-1-2 system” mean he could be offloaded.

The Milan site claims: “It has previously been reported that the new head coach will have the final say on Kessie future, with a ‘rich offer’ from China already having arrived.”

Kessie is believed to keen to stay in Milan, but the club may also decide to sell him to help remain within Financial Fair Play restrictions.

On his YouTube channel on Wednesday, journalist Carlo Pellegatti provided an update on Kessie’s future and claimed the latest interest was not from Nuno Gomes at Wolves.

“Tomorrow, Thursday 8 August, the English market closes. The next few hours will therefore be decisive to understand if Franck Kessie will leave Milan,” said Pellegatti.

“There are meetings in England, some possibilities, which are not the Wolverhapton, I don’t know who they are, but Kessie’s name is very hot in the UK market at this time, and the Ivorian would like to stay at Milan, like Suso and Castillejo.

“The former Atalanta man could change his mind only if a top English club arrives, otherwise he will remain in the Rossoneri. In the next few hours, Kessie’s destiny will be understood.”

Kessie only completed a permanent move to Milan this summer after a two-year loan and has made 96 appearances since arriving from Atalanta.
