Chelsea and Arsenal have been told they don’t hold much chance of signing Achraf Hakimi this summer after his agent claimed he was settled at Inter Milan.
Reports in Italy claim that Inter’s owners, Suning Holdings Group, could scale back their involvement in the club. That could see a number of stars sold off to generate funds. The likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen have been strongly linked with moves as a result.
Hakimi is another star who has been linked with a move. The Moroccan full-back could be allowed to move on for £40m this summer.
That has led to speculation that Arsenal – seeking a replacement for Hector Bellerin – are exploring a potential deal.
However, they are not alone in expressing an interest. He is also said to be on Thomas Tuchel’s radar as he looks to engineer a title push at Stamford Bridge next season.
However, it seems Hakimi has no desire to switch Milan for London. His agent, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, claims his client is loving life under Antonio Conte.
“Hakimi is happy at Inter with Conte, who is an excellent coach,” his representative, Alejandro Camano, said.
“Conte’s style of play suits Achraf and I think he will end up improving a lot because of this experience with the Nerazzurri.”
Napoli for Hakimi a possibility
Hakimi was close to signing for Napoli under Maurizio Sarri back in 2017.
And his agent claims a move to Inter’s rivals could remain an option one day in the future.
“Why not?’ he replied. “Napoli are the team of my heart, the greatest player of all time (Diego Maradona) played for them.
“So we aren’t excluding anything for the future.”
