The agent of one reported Manchester United target has admitted that his client is awaiting offers ahead of a possible move in the summer.

Napoli midfielder Jorginho has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Red Devils reportedly joined by Arsenal in their pursuit.

The 26-year-old Italy international is apparently being considered as a long-term replacement Michael Carrick at Old Trafford.

Now, his agent Joao Santos has confirmed that while a January move is not likely for his client, offers in the summer will be considered.

He told Tuttomercatoweb: “Jorginho wants to play for the national team again and be there for the friendly against England [on March 27].

“That is his objective, alongside winning with Napoli.

Jorginho: Napoli midfielder a target for Arsenal, says agent

“He is currently in Brazil and will return to Italy this weekend. When it comes to the January transfer window, we’re not talking about anything.

“In June, and this is true of all players, we’ll see what offers arrive. From February 1, it all begins again.”

Jorginho is contacted at Napoli until 2020, meaning the Serie A side will be free to demand a substantial fee for one of the league’s most impressive midfielders.
