Tottenham target Davinson Sanchez has reportedly gone on strike in a bid to try and force a move to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old defender refused to board the team’s bus for their opening game of the new season, as talk of a switch to London gathers pace.
Ajax lost the game to Heracles and his antics will not have gone down well with the Dutch giants, who paid just £4m to land the player from Atletico National on a five-year contract last summer.
Sporting Director Marc Overmars revealed, however, that the Eredivisie side are doing everything in their power to keep the player, offering him a new contract, but Spurs are said to be closing in on a £35million swoop.
Sanchez would join former Ajax stars Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen at Spurs should he join up with Mauricio Pochettino’s men before August 31.
