Alexis Sanchez has reportedly instructed his agent to make contact with Real Madrid as he chases a January transfer to the LaLiga giants.
The Manchester United forward has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and has managed just one goal this season, while he was relegated to the substitutes bench for the weekend’s defeat at Man City.
“Sanchez has struggled to settle in the North West and is understood to be looking for a way out of Old Trafford only 10 months into a contract that runs until June 2022,” reported the paper.
And now Spanish television show El Chiringuito, Sanchez has instructed his agent Fernando Felicevich to find him a new club, and his representative has now begun talks with Real Madrid.
The report claims that Felicevich is talking over the possibility of Sanchez making a move to the Bernabeu in January.
Sanchez, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, was last month reported to be furious after travelling down to London with the United squad, only not to make the 18 for the 3-1 defeat at West Ham.
The Daily Mirror reported that Sanchez “sulked his way through the game” and made it known to “everyone behind the scenes during the game how angry and upset he was”.
Champions League winners Madrid are set to appoint Santiago Solari as the club’s permanent manager after a successful two-week spell as interim boss and they are thought to be looking for another striker after Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in the summer.
Neither Mariano or Gareth Bale have stepped up sufficiently and Florentino Perez is understood to be keen to bolster the club’s strikeforce in January with Los Blancos in sixth place in LaLiga.
