Barcelona despair as Allegri takes stern stance on Juventus star’s future

Barcelona look to be left without one of their big January targets, Alvaro Morata, after Massimiliano Allegri opted to take a firm stance on the Spaniard’s future.
Barcelona are in something of a rebuilding process at present. Indeed, the sales of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in successive seasons have taken a bigger impact than initially expected.
Barca have been way off the pace in La Liga this season. La Blaugrana have managed to climb up to fifth place, but are still 15 points behind rivals Real Madrid.
The signing of Ferran Torres from Manchester City looks to be a step in the right direction. Furthermore, the Spanish giants are look to lure Morata away from Juventus.
However, that pursuit appears to be in vain, as Allegri has put his foot down regarding the forward’s future.
“I told Alvaro that he is staying here, he is not leaving Juventus, end of story,” he said via Daily Mail.
That is a big blow in Barca’s pursuit of the forward, who has scored 27 goals in 67 games during his loan spell with Juve.
In fact, recent reports stated that a deal between Morata’s parent club Atletico Madrid and Barcelona were ’95 percent complete’. Indeed, the blow Barca have received from Allegri will be a scathing one with that in mind.

What’s more, it is likely that Juventus will activate their option to buy Morata at the end of the season.
As such, Barca will have to look beyond the 29-year-old for a new talisman.
Morata to stay but Ramsey will move
Allegri also spoke on the future of Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey. It is more than likely that Ramsey will move on from Juventus, following the comments from the manager.
“Aaron Ramsey returned today after his leave to work in England, but he is an outgoing player,” he said.
Burnley had a direct approach for Ramsey turned down recently.
However, there remains interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
