Ancelotti uses contacts to lure Brazillian duo to Everton

Everton want to sign Thiago Silva and Allan when the transfer window opens, according to reports in the Daily Express.
Carlo Ancelotti is keen on making several changes to his squad ahead of his first full season in charge.
And it seems that he is turning to two of his former clubs in order to bring in some quality.
Silva is set to leave PSG at the end of the year after the French side decided to let him go. The veteran defender will therefore be available on a free transfer, although his wage demands are likely to be high.
That hasn’t put the Merseyside club off though, with the Express’ report claiming they have tabled a one-year deal.
Allan, meanwhile, has been made available by Napoli as the 29-year-old is out of favour under Genarro Gattuso. The report says the Serie A side already have plans to replace him and are willing to let him go for around £35million.
Both players would add considerable quality to the Everton side, particularly from a defensive viewpoint. Having conceded 46 goals in 29 league games, a weak backline has been one of their major issues.
Although Silva would be a short-term fix, his experience would no doubt help Everton progress up the table.
Allan would undoubtedly be an upgrade on their current midfield options such as Andre Gomes, Morgan Schneiderlin and Tom Davies.
PLENTY OF COMPETITION
A number of other clubs are interested in both players, so Everton have a job on their hands to complete the deals.
Although the Toffees have opened talks, Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with swoops for former AC Milan star Silva. Newcastle, should their takeover be completed, are also said to be eyeing up a move.
In regard to Allan, Atletico Madrid have made contact with Napoli so Everton will have to act fast.
Ancelotti has worked with both players, which may give the club a boost in the race for their signatures.
