Pontus Jansson: Missing again

Swedish newspaper Expressen appear to have jumped the gun with regards to the permanent deal Leeds have in place with Pontus Jansson.

Expressen had revealed on Thursday that the star defender had confirmed to them that he had signed a four-year deal with the Whites and now has his sights firmly set on a big Premier League push.

However, those quotes have since disappeared and the story has been edited to say that he will instead sign permanently in the summer rather than the end of this January window.

Jansson, a firm fans’ favourite at Elland Road since joining from Torino last summer, triggered a permanent transfer after playing his 22nd game for the club.

But now Leeds fans are left waiting again to see if the reported four-year deal will be officially announced before Tuesday’s deadline or will be put on hold until the summer.
