The price tag of an Arsenal and Chelsea summer target has skyrocketed, according to the latest reports.
CSKA Moscow star Aleksandr Golovin has been tipped to seal a move away from Russia this summer after a string of impressive performances at the 2018 World Cup.
According to reports from Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SportWitness), Serie A champions Juventus are front of the queue to land Golovin.
It is believed that Juve made an initial offer worth in the region of €15-19m for the 22-year-old, but it was quickly rejected.
Instead, CSKA have decided to raise their asking price to €25-30m, mainly due to the interest of Arsenal and Chelsea who they know could spark a bidding war.
There is a possibility that Blues owner Roman Abramovich could possibly steal a march on the race for Golovin by convincing his compatriot to move to Stamford Bridge.
Golovin’s father dealt Juventus a blow by revealing that the 22-year-old midfielder is currently learning English.
