Arsenal will battle LaLiga giants Barcelona for the signature of an exciting Mexico World Cup star, according to reports.
Both Publimetro (via The Sun) and TransferMarketWeb claim that new Gunners boss Unai Emery is ready to step up his interest in PSV winger Hirving Lozano.
Lozano caught the eye with an impressive tournament in Russia, starring in Mexico’s shock win over Germany.
The 22-year-old is believed to have a price tag around £42m, and was recently asked about links with Barca and Real Madrid.
Lozano said: “The truth is I’m very happy that the names of very important teams are being linked with me. When I am asked which I prefer I have to say both.
“I have to make sure I stay calm, take things slowly and concentrate on having a good World Cup. I’m really enjoying it.”
Meanwhile, Italian outlet Tuttosport believes that Arsenal are one of a number of clubs interested in Senegal star M’Baye Niang.
The North London side were linked with a move for Niang while he was at AC Milan, and could battle Everton, Monaco, Marseille and Nice for the forward this summer.
Niang joined Torino in summer 2017 on a season-long loan with obligation to buy set at €20million (around £17.5m).
