Arsenal put a shift in

Outstanding second half fu**ing never been so happy about a draw. Martineli 2 in 2, hector still looked rusty but great goal, but my mom is Xhaka he was immense today.

So happy with the spirit the lads have put in a proper shift Arteta get massive props today for getting the best out of a bad bunch plus a load of injuries ! Am so happy well done boys!

Three standout performers at Chelsea

Today a perfect illustration that sums up what Arteta is bringing to this side.

Having to coach a bunch of Brainless tw**s like Luiz and Mustafi, and making it up with outstanding Attitude, team spirit and desire.Yet again, our most experienced player on the pitch committing a senseless foul.Yes it was mustafi’s mistake, but why the hell does Luiz have to bring him down knowing it was a goalscoring opportunity and sending off.I was bamboozled that we still managed a draw considering the circumstances.

Three shout outs
First to Martinelli, the kid if the find of the century as Klopp puts it.And trust me, that’s a huge compliment coming from klopp.

Second,Granit xhaka.Outstanding in all aspect. Can anyone imagine we played 75% of the game with Mustafi and Xhaka at CB and managed to come away with a draw at Stamford bridge where we usually perform poorly.
Third,Bellerin.Oh how we’ve missed a right back.I’m still not fond how he’s changed since his first season and lost all focus, but speaking in terms of football the guy has a lot to offer.Defended very well and came out and scored a very difficult goal as well.

All in all, fantastic team spirit.we’d have never gotten that result under our previous managers at Stamford bridge.Arteta deserves credit.

Some positives from the game but overall, we have a long long long way back to even getting anywhere near anything decent and yes that means top four.

Until the dross is cleared out and replaced with hungry able players, we aren’t going anywhere any time fast folks. Don’t need to name the culprits I think we all know who they are.

Last from me, Martinelli is sensational to be honest I think the first thought when he ran onto the ball was not only can I get through on goal but let me put pressure on the defender, because that’s what I genuinely think he first thought, let me snap at the defenders ankle. If more of our players had that sort of endeavour maybe just maybe we’d be higher up the table.

How Arteta could fail next season

The only thing different in this game is the real fight we showed but it doesnt change a damn thing, still only one point, another red, defender gone for 3 games….

until MA sorts the defense in the summer nothing will change, this is his BIGGEST test for me, not the players now but at the start of next season, if mustafi is still at the club and we have not spent on a true defensive set up he will have failed for me

i hope his giving players a “chance” is just talk to get through to the summer and he then shows the ruthlessness he has spoken of previously

Mustafi, Xhaka and Ozil as you would expect at the centre of things. Ozil anonymous and hauled off, Mustafi gifts yet another goal (and muppets on here still defend him), Xhaka looks a far better central defender than midfield player. You can always rely on Mustafi to cock things up, we were battered from early on (and fatmop thinks we have a better squad than Chelsea, you have to laugh).

They had 10 shots, we had 2 but you could argue it’s results that matter. We may have been outplayed but we showed more guts and fight than we have for years, we actually played better after Luiz saw red. Martinelli, what a talent, thanks Edu, but can we hold onto him if Barca, Real or Juventus come calling? Surprised more hasn’t been made of his goal.

So the usual with Arsenal, poor depleted squad, poor side, should have lost by several goals but hung on. Arsenal fans rightly celebrated at the end but it’s another game without a win, we are nowhere in the table and another player out for the next game. With Bournemouth winning last night next Monday might now be a tough game.

The Oracle

Steveo- 100% that red gets overturned. by the letter of the law it was a coming together. David Luiz trying to get around, Tammy nips in front and get brought down. Thats falls under the double Jeopardy rule, so should have been a pen and yellow.

Anyway, great performance last night, Mustafi for me is entirely to blame for the first goal. Terrible back pass that he never looked comfortable dealing with. he needs to learn that row Z is ok. However that said, after that mistake and the red he was very assured. i just cannot allow for that mistake as its far too often with him. every-game he makes a mistake.

Thought all the front 3 played well, battled and fought from the front line.

Sending off helped Arsenal

Ironically I think Arsenal going down to 10 men worked against Chelsea because Arsenal then sat deep and looked to hit us on the break which has been our Achilles heel this season.

You can’t be conceding a goal from your own corner and why didn’t someone kick the ball out so Tammy could get treatment that’s sensible game management and it would have taken the fizz out of the game with Arsenal searching for an equaliser.

Tammy limping is a worry.

Wow, a bad match again. I thought it would be an easy victory after Luiz sending off. But we did it again: possession without scoring. Look at how many corners we had but we could not score except Azpi’s goal. And with 7 min to go, we still let Arsenal score. Last season was a miracle that we finished 3rd and won Europa Cup. This season it will be a bigger miracle if we finish in the top 4.

Having said that, I still don’t think Chelsea should buy this January. We did not do that bad, we created chances, we just did not score. While Kepa wasn’t at fault on the 1st goal, the 2nd goal he should have been able to do something. The angle was not big.

Lampard to take the blame

I think Frank and the Coaching team have to take some responsibility for Arsenal’s first goal accepting we were trying to increase our lead so we piled forwards for the corner we weren’t desperately needing to save the game and there should have been more than just Kante left back as defensive cover. Hopefully that’s a lesson learned.

Liverpool’s late show

I heard or read somewhere we take a business like approach to away games we turn up late as possible treat it like a job get the points & get out.

This supposedly started from last years CL final a lesson learnt from the previous CL final. Klopp & co have basically said the occasion / game is not relevant its all about the points. Celebrate at the end when we have a trophy not get carried away with the occasion / game.

Wolves will be a tough game however their away record is still actually better than their home but still not to be taken lightly.
They have some physicality about them and have a goal threat. I see this game similar to the Leicester away game and I can see us taking maximum points again.
With the FA Cup game coming up soon after I see our recent strongest team going out for the Wolves game. Most will the new be rested for the FA camp game with Fabinho, Matip, Lovren etc starting that game.
So….

Allison
TAA, Gomez, VVD, Robbo
Ox, Hendo, Wij
Salah, Firmino, Mane

The only possible change we might see I think could be Fabinho returning and Hendo moving further forward and taking Oxs place. Fabinho had a half hour on Sunday so he wouldn’t be walking into the Wolves game cold.
