Arsenal looking to force star out of the club in transfer window
Arsenal have urged midfielder Aaron Ramsey to hurry up on his decision whether or not to sign for Italian champions Juventus.
The Wales international’s contract expires with the Gunners at the end of the season, but the club want Ramsey to sign for Juventus by January, according to The Sun.
The panic comes from the contract situation of PSG star Adrien Rabiot, who is also a free agent come the summer.
If Ramsey rejects the rumoured £200,000 per week four-year deal on offer, Juventus will quickly turn their attention to Rabiot and look to snap him up on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old is a regular fixture of the French giants team sheet, making 13 Ligue 1 appearences this season. He featured in the 2-1 Champions League victory over Liverpool, but was brought on with only five minutes to play.
There has also been interest muted in Ramsey from Bayern Munich and Roma, but it’s believed they cannot match the lucrative terms which Juventus will offer.
Signed from Cardiff City in July 2008, Ramsey has become a mainstay of the Gunners side, playing in all 13 Premier League games so far this season, though only starting in six of those games.
Ramsey has proved a goal threat from midfield throughout his Arsenal career, something which appeals to Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri.
