Arsenal have been told that they must pay a significant portion of their summer budget to land Ryan Fraser this summer, a report claims.

Fraser’s contract expires in 2020, and recent reports had suggested the Scotland international has no intention of renewing, and will try to persuade the club to sell him this summer.

Last season was his most prolific campaign yet, as he amassed seven goals and 13 assists in the Premier League, and speculation has suggested he could try and capitalise on good form by pushing for a transfer, rather than leaving on a free the year after.

Arsenal have been linked with the 25-year-old for some time, while Tottenham and Chelsea were also said to be monitoring developments.

Now, the Daily Mail report that the Cherries will ask for £25m if the Gunners choose to intensify their pursuit, while Manchester United are also namechecked as being interested.

Bournemouth are apparently still debating whether to cash in this summer given he was their most important creative player, but the cash could help them source a replacement in this window rather than losing him for free in a year.
