Arsenal have offered Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain a huge new contract offer in an attempt to keep him at the club, according to reports.

The England international has been attracting interest from west London as Chelsea are reportedly in talks over a possible £35million move for the midfielder.

However, the Daily Star claims that the Gunners have offered Oxlade-Chamberlain £125,000-a-week in a new four-year deal if he commits his fuure to the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium along with stars such as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.

Since he made his debut back in 2011, the 24-year-old has scored 20 goals for the north Londoners in 196 appearances.

Arsenal are confident that the new offer will be accepted as they try to hang onto him having played him in their opening two matches of the new Premier League season against Leicester and Stoke.
