Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Roma star Cengiz Under ahead of a possible January deal, a report claims.
The 21-year-old is believed to have a price tag of €45m, but Gunners boss Emery is “serious” about adding the attacker in January, Calciomercato claims.
Under has impressed his Roma team-mates this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 14 appearances.
Although boss Eusebio Di Francesco is hoping the Turkish international will stay at the Stadio Olimpico, reports suggest that Giallorossi will face increasing pressure to keep him at the club.
No offer has been made but it’s thought that Roma will attempt to negotiate a new contract with their young star.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will be willing to pay the heavy price for a player not yet proven at the highest level, but squad depth is certainly key if they have their sights set on the Champions League next season.
