Liverpool are not interested in a summer move for reported Tottenham target Amadou Diawara, according to the latest claims from Italy.

Rai Sport claims that the Reds have no interest in making a bid in the upcoming transfer window after they were reported to want the Guinean.

The 20-year-old, who arrived at Napoli from Bologna two years ago, has struggled for game time this season under Maurizio Sarri.

This has prompted speculation that Diawara will leave in the summer, with Bayern, Juventus and Monaco all reportedly interested – as well as Spurs.

The report claims that Tottenham have opened discussions with his representatives, and that Arsenal are also in the mix.

Diawara’s agent has previously stated however that his client wants to continue at Napoli, where he has a deal running until 2021.

With doubts over the futures of midfield duo Marek Hamsik and Jorginho, it is possible that Diawara will see his playing time increase next season.
