Arsenal, Spurs target makes intentions clear as Barca set €60m price tag

Barcelona forward Malcom has informed the club that he wants to leave this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Malcom was in high demand last summer, and eventually sealed a move to Barcelona from Bordeaux, but he struggled for game-time in his first season in La Liga. The 22-year-old was restricted to just 15 league appearances in total.

The Brazilian’s lack of space in the first team will only be complicated further by the arrivals of Antoine Griezmann and potentially Neymar – who could complete a sensational return from PSG as part of a swap deal – so he looks set to end his Camp Nou frustrations.

According to Catalunya Radio (via Caught Offside), Malcom’s agent met with Barcelona officials today to confirm his client’s desire to leave. In response, the La Liga champions have set a €60m price tag for the winger, in order to make a profit.

Arsenal have been suggested as a potential new club for Malcom, but they are only prepared to make a loan offer due to his high asking price. Nonetheless, he is seen as an ideal alternative to Wilfried Zaha, with a move for the Crystal Palace winger looking less likely by the day.

Tottenham have also been linked with Malcom, who is yet to be capped by the Brazilian national team.
