Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny has revealed his intention to return to French side Lorient before the end of his career.

The 32-year-old is currently in his eighth season with Arsene Wenger’s side, and has accumulated three FA Cup victories during his time in North London.

The player has previously been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, but with that chance now gone, the defender appears happy to commit the rest of his years at the top to the Gunners.

However, Lorient president Loic Fery has claimed the Frenchman is keen to return to his homeland before the end of his career.

“He told me last week in London that he wanted to finish his career at Lorient,” Fery told Canal+.

“I hope he has a few more years playing at Arsenal.”

Koscielny, capped 50 times by France, is under contract with Arsenal until 2020 and joined the Gunners in a bargain £8.45million deal in 2010.
