Arsenal, Tottenham to fight for unhappy Real Madrid star

Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly set to do battle for an unhappy Real Madrid star in the January transfer window.

Midfielder Dani Ceballos is said to be eyeing a potential exit due to a lack of playing time under Zinedine Zidane, with the 21-year-old featuring in only 11 of the 23 games that Real have played so far this season.

Having joined from Real Betis during the summer, the youngster was aware that first-team opportunities might be fairly slim but he did expect to feature for prominently in the Frenchman’s plans.

Ceballos was reportedly signed on a whim by Real’s club president Florentino Perez as he was looking at the club’s long-term future. according to the report on Calciomercato.

The Spain Under-21 star is now looking for an escape route and the Premier League could be a potential destination as both Arsenal and Spurs are said to have shown an interest.

AC Milan and Roma are also keen, while it has also been suggested that Ceballos could returnt to Betis on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
