Arsenal’s €13m deal dismissed, but interest in Almiron confirmed
A claim that Miguel Almiron will move to Arsenal in January for €13million has been labelled “fake news” by two American soccer journalists.
Eales told FOX Deportes USA via 90min: “Almirón’s future is already decided and will go to England in the European winter market.”
The former Cerro Porteno and Lanus No.10 apparently had got everything in place to finish the MLS season this month and then move to The Emirates in January, but that talk has been refuted.
USA soccer hacks Jonathan Tannenwald and Doug Robertson claim the quote is “fake news”.
The Darren Eales quote on Miguel Almiron is made-up. Fake news, you might even say.@JPW_NBCSports @ariellec @NutmegRadio @DiCiccoMethod @arseblog https://t.co/yIHBeB61AY

However, yesterday morning mlssoccer.com reported that Almiron’s father, Ruben Almiron, gave an interview to Paraguayan radio station 730 AM claiming that Arsenal’s interest in his son was genuine, though no formal contact has been made between the Gunners and Atlanta.
