Arsenal’s Ozil and Sanchez talks ‘looking pretty good’
Arsenal’s contract talks with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are developing positively, according to the club’s general secretary.
Both Sanchez and Ozil have only 18 months remaining on their current deals, with the world’s top clubs monitoring negotiations between the Gunners and their star duo.
Ozil is Arsenal’s highest earner, making £150,000 a week, which is £10,000 a week more than Sanchez, but both players will be looking for in excess of £200,000 a week to convince them to commit their futures to the north London club.
Arsenal’s general secretary David Miles had a positive update for the club’s fans after the Champions League draw on Monday, when the Gunners were paired with Bayern Munich.
“Of course, we know talks are ongoing with certain players and certain contracts,” Miles told BT Sport.
“At the moment, things are looking pretty good in that way.”

Miles also spoke of the club’s intentions to recruit in January
“Obviously that’s Arsene’s domain, and it’s in very safe hands,” he said.
“I know he’s already looking for opportunities to strengthen the squad.”
