Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has poked fun at teammates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane following the angry outburst from Mane following the Reds’ win over Burnley last month.

Mane vented his frustration at the Liverpool bench when taken off in the 3-1 win over the Clarets, after Salah failed to pass him the ball and a goalscoring chance was wasted by the Egyptian.

Speaking to¬†BBC Sport‘s Football Focus, Oxlade-Chamberlain took light of the situation and poked fun at the pair when asked to give his answers to several statements.

When asked why Salah isn’t selfish, the Englishman replied: “He isn’t selfish? Are you winding me up? The guy doesn’t pass to us, are you mad? Ask Sadio!

“No, Mo Salah isn’t selfish because he is a goalscorer. He’s got to do that. We can’t expect him to pass us the ball all the time and him to score loads of goals. The way he plays wins us games so he’s got to do what he’s got to do.

“If he scores goals and we win the game, I’m happy.”

Liverpool are in action on Sunday when they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.
